Session scope
Mathematical and computational modeling frequently augments research in physiology, medicine and biomedical engineering. It helps to derive additional information from the collected data, indicates possible problems and data necessary for more in-depth investigations, provides precise interpretation of the results, and indicates the possible ways to optimize available treatment and diagnostic methods. Developed models may be aimed at medical diagnosis or treatment, describe clinical or biological studies, focus at specific level of spatial organization and time scale or be multiscale and use multiple modelling methods.
The aim of the session is to gather researchers who work on mathematical and computational modeling in different areas of biology, medical sciences and biomedical engineering. The goal is to share knowledge about the specificity of different approaches and different application fields as well as the common background for modeling based in mathematical and computational methods.
